I wanted to share with you that I have a nut/peanut allergy.. it is not too severe, but I do carry an EPI pen with me just in case. I have had it since I was about 11 years old and discovered it after a bad trip to the hospital full of hives and itchies! My summer has been ridiculously busy full of 12-14 hour days EVERY DAY, but I wanted to create a mini unit to teach kids a little bit about allergies. It must be so difficult for kids with severe allergies whether they feel left out or are too shy to talk about it, I thought this would be a great way to teach your class with a few posters, read aloud recommendations, and discussions...
